Scottish distillery Bladnoch has rebranded its single malt range, introducing the Heritage Collection, which features two new age-statement whiskies. The updated range replaces the previous 11-year-old and 14-year-old expressions.
Heritage Collection Details:
- Bladnoch 13-Year-Old Single Malt: Matured in Bourbon barrels and bottled at 46.7% ABV. This expression offers delicate floral notes, honey, and citrus on the nose, with a palate of floral Parma Violets, fresh apples, and hints of wood spice. Retail price: £85 (US$112).
- Bladnoch 16-Year-Old Single Malt: Matured in oloroso Sherry casks and also bottled at 46.7% ABV. It features aromas of wood spices, raisins, sultanas, and orange peel, with a palate of raisins, dried fruits, fruit cake, sweet cinnamon, and chocolate. Retail price: £110 (US$145).
These new releases are part of Bladnoch’s expanded Heritage Collection, which complements their existing 19-year-old and 30-year-old expressions. The update reflects the distillery’s long whisky-making history and its ongoing development.
Dr. Nick Savage, Master Distiller, stated: “The introduction of the Heritage Collection and the Twinned Cask Collection is a significant step forward for our Lowland single malts. These changes mark a milestone in our brand development, showcasing Bladnoch’s dedication to excellence and our expanding whisky offerings.”
