Suntory has marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of its inaugural travel retail boutique, nestled within Singapore’s bustling Changi Airport Terminal 3’s Lotte Duty Free section. This premier destination promises travelers an exclusive and immersive experience into the world of Suntory’s finest whiskies.

Introducing the Kogei Collection 2024: Japanese Kimono Edition
At the heart of this exciting debut lies the captivating Kogei Collection 2024: Japanese Kimono Edition, recently unveiled at Suntory’s new boutique by none other than Suntory’s Fifth Generation Chief Blender, Shinji Fukuyo. This exquisite collection embodies the essence of traditional Japanese craftsmanship, or “Kogei,” through a collaboration with esteemed artisans.
A Fusion of Tradition and Innovation
The Kogei Collection celebrates the marriage of Suntory’s renowned whiskies with the intricate artistry of Japanese traditional crafts. Both the Yamazaki and Hakushu expressions in this collection feature Peated Malt and are aged in Spanish Oak, resulting in whiskies of unparalleled depth and complexity.

Craftsmanship in Every Detail
Partnering with Kyoto’s prestigious Kyo-Yuzen Kimono House, Chiso, Suntory has elevated whisky packaging to an art form. Chiso’s skilled patternmakers employ the traditional Bokashi-zome technique, or gradation dyeing, to adorn the labels and packaging boxes with intricate designs that narrate the rich history and essence of Yamazaki and Hakushu whiskies.
Unveiling the Masterpieces
The Yamazaki Peated Malt Spanish Oak pays homage to the tranquility of the distillery’s surroundings, with a depiction of merging rivers exuding a sense of serenity. Golden stamps add a touch of refinement, reminiscent of drifting clouds.
Meanwhile, the Hakushu Peated Malt Spanish Oak captures the verdant beauty of the Japanese Southern Alps, which envelop the distillery in lush greenery. Silver stamps evoke the misty forest clouds, while delicate threads mirror the elegance of traditional kimonos.

Availability and Excitement
Enthusiasts can anticipate the launch of the Yamazaki Peated Malt Spanish Oak and Hakushu Peated Malt Spanish Oak expressions at select airports, including Singapore’s Changi Airport, starting April 1st, 2024.
