Dublin-based Scair Uisce is set to release its first-ever bottling next week, offering a rare and distinctive a 14-Year-Old Single Grain Irish Whiskey to members of its private cask community. Initially matured for 13.5 years in traditional bourbon casks, the whisky underwent a final six-month finish in a Spinola Ximénez sherry cask—a first for any grain whiskey in Ireland.
Bottled at 52% ABV, only 160 individually numbered bottles have been produced.
Adding to its uniqueness, this release features the first whisky label in the world to be written entirely in the Irish language. Designed by Irish artist Francis Leavey of Fab Cow Designs, the label depicts a hand-drawn hawthorn tree, a symbol of resilience and heritage, as well as Loch Measc and the surrounding Gaeltacht area of Tuar Mhic Éadaigh.
