To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Kilchoman Distillery has unveiled the 20th Anniversary Cask Series – a four-part release showcasing the dual maturation styles that define the distillery’s character.
Each of the four releases is a vatting of five hand-selected casks, with two expressions matured in ex-bourbon casks and two in ex-sherry casks. The ex-bourbon cask releases highlight Kilchoman’s fresher side, featuring salty peat smoke and bright citrus sweetness. Meanwhile, the ex-sherry cask releases lean into a richer profile, delivering dried fruits, BBQ smoke, and complex mixed spices.
Founder Anthony Wills commented: “It has been a journey, not always smooth, but immensely fulfilling.”
The 20th Anniversary Cask Series is now available in the UK and Europe, with availability expanding to international markets in the coming weeks.
